The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Abu Dhabi represents Indonesia's diplomatic mission to the United Arab Emirates, serving both the resident Indonesian community and the broader bilateral relationship between the two countries. The embassy occupies a compound at 42 Al Yaqout Street in the Embassy Area of Abu Dhabi, a diplomatic quarter that hosts many of the foreign missions accredited to the UAE.

Diplomatic relations between Indonesia and the UAE were established in 1976, and the embassy itself opened its doors on 28 October 1978, initially under a charge d'affaires before Indonesia appointed its first resident ambassador, Abdullah Fuad Rachman, in 1993. Since then the mission has grown alongside the steady expansion of the Indonesian community in the capital, which today includes migrant workers, students, business professionals, and long term residents drawn by the UAE's role as a regional hub for trade, finance, and logistics.

The embassy in Abu Dhabi should not be confused with Indonesia's Consulate General in Dubai, a separate mission that opened in February 2003 to serve the large Indonesian population concentrated in that emirate's commercial and free zone districts. Together the two missions divide consular and diplomatic work across the UAE, with Abu Dhabi handling the country's political relationship as the seat of government and Dubai focusing more heavily on day to day consular services for residents. Indonesians living in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the smaller northern emirates generally fall within the embassy's own consular remit rather than Dubai's.

Services available through the embassy include passport issuance and renewal, visa processing, notarial and legal document services, and general protection and welfare support for Indonesian citizens living in or passing through the capital. The mission also engages in cultural and economic promotion work, supporting trade delegations and community events tied to Indonesian holidays.
