Sekolah Indonesia Den Haag, commonly abbreviated SIDH, occupies a school building at Rijksstraatweg 679 in Wassenaar, a municipality bordering The Hague in the Netherlands. Founded on 15 June 1965 as an initiative connected to the Indonesian embassy community, the school has operated continuously for six decades under a series of names, including Sekolah Kedutaan Republik Indonesia di Wassenaar and Sekolah Indonesia Nederland, before reverting to its current name in August 2015.

The school follows Indonesia's national curriculum, teaching both the 2013 Kurikulum and the newer Kurikulum Merdeka set by the Indonesian education ministry. Students progress through three levels under one roof: Sekolah Dasar (primary, grades 1 to 6), Sekolah Menengah Pertama (junior secondary, grades 7 to 9) and Sekolah Menengah Atas (senior secondary, grades 10 to 12). Two enrollment tracks are offered: a regular in-person program for families living in or near Wassenaar, and a distance-learning program (Pendidikan Jarak Jauh) for Indonesian students living more than 60 kilometers away or elsewhere in Europe and Africa, letting them follow the Indonesian curriculum while abroad.

SIDH received an "A" accreditation from Indonesia's National Accreditation Board for Schools and Madrasahs (BAN S-M) in 2016, covering all three education levels. Separately, the Dutch education authorities have recognized it as a foreign school since September 2011, and in 2020 it gained Indonesian state-school status while continuing to function as a school attached to the embassy community. Oversight is shared under a 2015 joint regulation from Indonesia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education.

Alongside core academics, the school incorporates religious instruction, Indonesian cultural programming, and extracurricular activities focused on leadership and cross-cultural skills, reflecting its role serving children of diplomatic staff, families on temporary postings, and other Indonesian residents of the Netherlands.
